    The short version

Restorative yoga near Pittsburgh. Deep rest, props, and calm in a small private studio in McMurray, PA. Invitation-only.

    Restorative Yoga near Pittsburgh

Gemini Yoga teaches restorative yoga near Pittsburgh, from a small private studio in McMurray, PA. This is the deep-rest practice. You are supported by props, held in a few shapes for a long time, and asked to do almost nothing but breathe.

Restorative yoga is not a workout. It is the counterweight to one. In a world of hot rooms and fast flows, this is where the nervous system finally gets to stand down.

    What makes Gemini different

Studios around here lean hard into heat and power. Our restorative yoga runs the other direction, slow and quiet, and we mean it.

    • Fully supported. Bolsters, blankets, and blocks hold you, so your muscles can let go.
    • Long, still holds. Poses last long enough for real release, not just a quick stretch.
    • Nervous-system focus. The aim is down-regulation. Slower breath, softer shoulders, a calmer mind.
    • Skilled guidance. Tisha Samuels brings 500-plus hours with ayurveda and restorative training. Stefani Rose (Laughing Lotus, RYT-500) and Darcy Lyle (teaching since 2003) round out the team.

    Who it is for

This is for the overworked, the wound-up, and the worn-down. For people who cannot seem to slow their thoughts. For anyone in Peters Township, Mt. Lebanon, Upper St. Clair, Bethel Park, Canonsburg, or greater Pittsburgh who needs rest more than effort. No experience is required. You only need to be willing to lie down and breathe.

    How the invitation works

Gemini is invitation-only, which is part of what makes the room feel this safe. You come in through a current member, or you send a short request to be considered. There is no public schedule and no public price list, and the exact McMurray address is shared only after you are approved. A private room and a small group make it easier to truly let your guard down.

Deep rest asks for trust. It is much easier to find that in a quiet room with a few familiar faces than in a crowded class.
