    The short version

Yin yoga in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. Long-held floor poses, stillness, and breath in a small private McMurray studio.

Yin Yoga in the South Hills

Gemini Yoga offers yin yoga in the South Hills of Pittsburgh, from a small private studio in McMurray, PA. Yin is the slow, floor-based practice. You settle into a pose, stay a while, and let time and gravity do the work.

Where a fast class moves through the muscles, yin reaches deeper, into the connective tissue around the joints. The poses are held for minutes, not breaths. It is quiet, patient work.

    What makes Gemini different

Most studios near you are built for heat and speed. Our yin yoga is the still counterpart, and the small room suits it perfectly.

    • Long holds. Poses are kept for several minutes so the body can slowly open.
    • Floor-based and cool. Mostly seated and lying shapes in a calm, non-heated room.
    • Connective-tissue focus. Yin works the fascia and joints that faster styles rush past.
    • Breath and stillness. You learn to stay, to soften, and to watch the mind settle.

    Who it is for

This is for tight hips and stiff backs. For fast-paced people who need to practice being still. For athletes balancing harder training, and for beginners who want something gentle. Anyone in Peters Township, Mt. Lebanon, Upper St. Clair, Bethel Park, or Canonsburg is welcome to ask. Our teachers, Stefani Rose (Laughing Lotus, RYT-500), Darcy Lyle (teaching since 2003), and Tisha Samuels (500-plus hours), keep the pace safe and kind.

    How the invitation works

Gemini is invitation-only, which keeps every yin class small and unhurried. You join through a current member, or you send a short request to be considered. We do not publish a schedule or prices, and we share the exact McMurray address only after you are approved. The room stays private and the group stays familiar.

Stillness is easier in a quiet space. A tiny class means no one is rushing you out of a pose before you are ready to leave it.
